Video Editor

As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with directors, producers, and educators to understand the project's vision and objectives. Your responsibility will include reviewing raw footage to select the best shots that align with the project's goals. You will be tasked with editing and assembling videos by trimming and rearranging footage, adding transitions, music, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to create a cohesive final product. Additionally, maintaining continuity by ensuring logical sequencing and smooth transitions between scenes will be essential to uphold the video's flow. Throughout the editing process, you will collaborate with the production team and make revisions based on feedback to meet project expectations. Ideally, you should possess a bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, multimedia, visual communication, or a related field. Proven work experience as a video editor along with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects is required. Technical skills in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques, as well as an understanding of motion graphics and special effects are essential for this role.
