Responsibilities - Edit raw video footage into polished and engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials. - Collaborate closely with directors, content creators, and the marketing team to grasp project scope and objectives effectively. - Enhance storytelling and maintain viewer engagement by incorporating music, sound effects, graphics, and animations. - Conduct tasks such as colour grading, sound mixing, and other post-production activities to ensure a professional quality output. - Efficiently organize and manage video files, ensuring easy accessibility and proper categorization. - Stay updated on the latest video editing software, techniques, and trends to consistently enhance the quality of content. - Review and refine videos based on feedback from the team, ensuring the final output aligns with project requirements. Qualifications - Demonstrated experience as a Video Editor, accompanied by a portfolio showcasing your work. - Proficiency in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects. - Additional knowledge in sound design, colour grading, and motion graphics is advantageous. - Strong grasp of visual storytelling, pacing, and rhythm. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with exceptional communication skills. - Keen attention to detail, creativity, and a strong passion for creating engaging video content. Preferred Skills - Previous experience in generating content for social media, web, and/or broadcast platforms. - Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. - Understanding of content management systems and best practices for file organization. Relevant skills and qualifications that would be advantageous include strong communication abilities, attention to detail, experience in quality control, and a creative mindset.
