Video Editor cum Graphic Designer

Position Overview

Wiingy is seeking a creative and versatile Video Editor cum Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role blends strong video editing expertise with graphic design skills to produce engaging content that elevates Wiingy's brand across YouTube, social media, website, and other digital platforms.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable crafting compelling video narratives and designing impactful graphics.

You will play a central role in scaling YouTube and Instagram channels for the US market, designing social-first creatives, and creating high-quality video content for learners of all ages.

Responsibilities

Video Editing & Motion Graphics

• Edit professional-quality videos for Wiingy's YouTube channels, website, and social media.
• Assemble raw footage and apply creative editing techniques to craft compelling narratives.
• Add basic motion graphics, transitions, and animations to enhance visual storytelling.
• Perform color correction and sound integration for polished final outputs.
• Develop educational and explainer videos in subjects like coding, math, and science.
• Repurpose long-form video content into short-form social media reels and clips.

Graphic Design

• Design digital assets such as social media creatives, ads, website banners, email graphics, and presentations.
• Create YouTube thumbnails, infographics, and promotional materials that drive clicks and engagement.
• Translate marketing and content requirements into visually appealing designs aligned with Wiingy's brand.
• Adapt designs across formats and platforms to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ideate and deliver campaign visuals.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Arts, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or related field.
• Experience: 13 years of professional experience as a Video Editor and Graphic Designer, with a portfolio showcasing both skills.
• Video Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro (or similar).
• Design Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or equivalent tools.
• Storytelling: Strong sense of narrative, pacing, and visual communication.
• Motion Graphics: Experience creating animated elements for videos.
• Creative Skills: Understanding of typography, layout, branding, and digital-first design.
• Attention to Detail: Sharp eye for design consistency, composition, and aesthetics.
• Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to fast-paced creative needs.
• Preferred: Knowledge of 2D/3D animation, illustration, or experience in educational/ed-tech content creation.
