Role and Responsibilities

Academic Duties

Academics form the foundation of knowledge, equipping individuals with critical skills and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems. The key academic responsibilities to be fostered are as follows:

· Keep track of each student’s performance in each subject, co-curricular activities, and discipline.

· Keep track of all training sessions for your teachers through the Academic In-charge.

· Use only English language for communicating except when communicating with the parent.

· Manage hiring and retention of teachers.

· The syllabus must be covered effectively and in time.

· Ensure your teachers prepare class boards before assembly.

· Make sure your teachers use WeCan Application effectively and update the completion of CW, HW, student’s attendance, appreciation etc.

· Make a class timetable with Academic In-charge and ensure that it is mentioned in each student’s diary.

· Re-check copies in a planned manner and ensure your teachers check and the Academic In-charges re-check CW and homework correctly and regularly.

· Monitor checking of answer sheets of examination and correctly re-calculate the total.

· Must keep a record of each student before parent-teacher meet. The feedback should cover points like the regularity of students, punctuality, attentiveness in class, strong and weak aspects, among others.

· Document feedback from parents and if there is any complaint, then get it resolved in a timely manner and inform parents about it.

· Ensure that the Academic Incharges are taking regular trainings of the teachers after 1:30pm.

· Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.

· Facilitate regular updates on students’ academic progress, behavioral issues, and achievements to parents.

· Ensure that school policies and procedures are communicated clearly to parents and implemented consistently.

· Work closely with teachers and other staff to address and resolve parent-related issues or concerns.

· Motivate staff to actively take up duties assigned and tasks given for school events and activities. Also, make sure that all your students and teachers participate in different events and activities with zeal.

Student Welfare

Student Welfare and Discipline:

As the Vice Principal, Student Welfare should be prioritized above everything else, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive environment for their growth and development. The goal of a Vice Principal should be to empower each student to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

· The school premise must follow all safety guidelines of the government and otherwise without fail.

· Behave in a polite and respectful manner with students, teachers, other staff members and parents.

· Inculcate moral values and civic sense in students.

· Foster a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting values such as respect, responsibility, and kindness.

· Monitor that classrooms are cleaned twice a day by support staff. After lunch and after school.

· All classrooms in your school must have proper furniture, light, ventilation and space for students.

· Monitor student progress and provide support to students who are struggling academically or socially.

· Classrooms to be aesthetically pleasing, notice boards updated and nothing must be pasted on walls.

· Make sure that the class teacher calls the parent of a student who is absent without any prior information.

· Your teachers must ensure all students bring healthy lunch by counselling parents and students regularly.

· Refrain from practicing physical punishment on any student as that will cause termination.

Parent Counselling

· Maintain positive relationships with parents. Meet them every day as per the schedule.

· Communicate regularly with parents providing updates on school activities, events, and accomplishments

Staff Development and Evaluation

· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support staff growth.

· Ensure that the new staff members get enough time to settle once they join. They shouldn’t be given any class before three days at least and they should assist/observe the class of some experienced and dedicated teachers.

Disciplinary Rules

The Vice Principal ensures that the school's disciplinary policies are implemented effectively to should create a positive learning environment.

· Be regular, punctual, disciplined and in proper school uniform.

· Reach School before 7:45 am.

· Attendance will be considered only through the biometric machine.

· Reach the assembly place 5 minutes before the bell and lead the conduction of assembly.

· Do not be absent or take unapproved leaves. Must not take leaves on ‘No Leave Days’. Prior approval for leaves is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
