Job Description

You will be joining The Gurukulam School in Varanasi as a dynamic and experienced Vice Principal. The school is committed to providing quality education rooted in traditional Indian values while embracing modern teaching methodologies. As the Vice Principal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic vision of the school and ensuring holistic development, academic excellence, and character-building through a balanced curriculum and a nurturing environment. - Support the Principal in implementing the academic vision of the school - Supervise curriculum implementation and lesson planning - Monitor teaching standards and student academic performance - Guide and support Heads of Departments and faculty in academic strategies - Introduce and manage academic improvement programs - Assist in the day-to-day operations of the school - Coordinate timetabling, class schedules, and substitution planning - Oversee the smooth functioning of examinations and assessments - Ensure compliance with board regulations (CBSE/ICSE/IB etc.) - Supervise and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff performance - Assist with teacher recruitment, onboarding, and training - Mediate staff issues and ensure team coordination - Conduct classroom observations and give constructive feedback - Maintain discipline and a positive school culture - Handle student behavior concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution - Implement policies on attendance, punctuality, and conduct - Monitor student well-being and support student counseling initiatives - Act as a liaison between parents and the school - Handle parent queries, concerns, and communication - Represent the school in community events and education forums - Stand in for the Principal during their absence - Support strategic decision-making with data and insights - Drive initiatives in school development, digital learning, and innovation - Collaborate in preparing school improvement plans - Plan and supervise co-curricular and extracurricular activities - Coordinate inter-house and inter-school events - Encourage student participation and talent development - Ensure school policies are communicated and enforced effectively - Monitor adherence to health, safety, and child protection policies - Maintain documentation and reporting in line with educational regulations - 10 to 20 years of experience in an academic leadership role - Strong academic leadership skills and a collaborative mindset - Passion for educational excellence - Experience in staff management, discipline, student welfare, and parent/community engagement - Knowledge of educational regulations and compliance - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
