Position: Vice-Principal

Location: Mohali, Punjab (In-person job)

Salary: 75,000 Rs per month (provided job requirements are met)

Reporting to: Principal and Director Principal

Gian Jyoti Global School, established in 1974, is a premier CBSE-affiliated institution with a proud legacy of over 52 years in delivering quality education. We are seeking a Vice-Principal, who will be responsible in all the matters of academics, training, and discipline of the students.

Role Overview

The Vice-Principal will be directly responsible in all the matters of academics, training, and discipline of students. He/She will assist the Principal in academic planning, curriculum framing, and implementation of policies. She will be assisted by all the teachers, Librarians, and subordinate academic staff.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist the Principal in the overall administration of the school. Co-ordinate curriculum development and monitor its implementation.

· Manage student services and academic counselling.

· Handle discipline and ensure a safe and secure environment for students and staff.

· Set educational standards and goals, and establish the policies and procedures to achieve them.

· Evaluate and guide staff performance, offering training and development opportunities as necessary.

· Communicate with parents, regulatory bodies, and the public.

· Participate in committee meetings, staff meetings, and parent meetings.

· Keep abreast of developments in education and implement new practices where applicable.

· Contribute to the development of the school’s strategic plan.

· Will also be taking 18 English classes in a week for Grade X- XII.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a Vice Principal or in another school administrative role.

· Knowledge of school administrative processes and national educational regulations.

· Outstanding written, verbal communication skills

· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

· BSc/BA in Education or relevant field; MSc/MA(English)/B.ED is a plus.
