Vice President - Credit Risk

Role Overview: As a Credit Risk Officer at Citigroup, your primary responsibility is to assess the quality of assigned portfolios, evaluate emerging risks, and review the effectiveness of credit risk processes. Your role also involves providing autonomous assessment of risk ratings, ensuring appropriate staffing models, and validating Corrective Action Plans for assigned businesses. It is crucial to keep senior management informed of any concerns or emerging risks that may impact the Review Entities, as your work significantly influences the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Key Responsibilities: - Assess the quality of assigned portfolios and evaluate emerging risks. - Review and assess the effectiveness of credit risk processes and standards. - Evaluate the credit risk components of the Risk Appetite framework. - Provide autonomous assessment of risk ratings and classifications. - Ensure that staffing models have appropriate resources. - Validate Corrective Action Plans for assigned businesses. - Maintain quality and consistency standards of Fundamental Credit Risk documents. - Inform senior management of concerns and emerging risks. - Demonstrate Quality Assurance activities as a Subject Matter Expert. - Assess risk when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Qualifications: - 6-10 years of relevant experience. - Good analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate complex material. - Ability to exercise a wide degree of latitude and discretion.
