Job Description

Key Responsibilities/ Key principles:

Identify and evaluate vendors for tooling requirements (Stamping dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, etc.).
Float RFQs (Request for Quotations), analyse quotations, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to finalize tooling specifications.
Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure adherence to project timelines.
Monitor vendor performance and maintain supplier scorecards.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ISO/TS standards.
Support cost reduction initiatives and alternate sourcing strategies.
Maintain accurate records of tooling purchases and budgets.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Cost savings achieved through negotiation
Vendor quality and reliability scores
Compliance with procurement processes

Expected skills for this position:

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering / production / industrial engineering or related field.
NTTF / Equivalent in tool and Dies
5 - 10+ years of experience in tooling procurement or vendor development.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling design.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
