Vendor Development & New Product Development Manager

Role Overview: You are a highly skilled and motivated New Product Development & Sourcing Specialist based in Delhi NCR. Your role involves leading the development of new products and identifying suitable manufacturing partners. You must possess strong technical knowledge of various manufacturing processes, particularly those involving metals, along with hands-on experience in product engineering, vendor evaluation, and sourcing strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end product development from concept to production, translating customer requirements or internal concepts into detailed product designs and specifications. - Develop Bill of Materials (BOMs), prepare product specifications, development timelines, and cost estimates. - Collaborate with design, engineering, and prototyping teams to create innovative and cost-effective products. - Oversee sampling, testing, and final approval for production readiness. - Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors with expertise in metal casting, forging, machining, sheet metal fabrication, electroplating, and other relevant processes. - Conduct technical audits and factory assessments to validate vendor capabilities. Qualifications Required: - 12-15 years of experience in product development and sourcing, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment. - Strong understanding of metal types such as brass, aluminum, steel, zinc, and their manufacturing characteristics. - Expertise in various manufacturing and finishing processes like electroplating, powder coating, and polishing. - Proficiency in reading technical drawings and familiarity with SolidWorks software is preferred. - Willingness to travel frequently to factories and vendor sites. - Bachelor's degree is required, and proficiency in English is preferred.
