Vehicle Strength & Durability CAE Evaluation

As a Vehicle Strength & Durability CAE Evaluation specialist, your main role will involve: - Performing CAE Modelling tasks such as mesh discretization, assembly, constraint & load setting for automotive sub-systems, with a focus on components related to Body & Chassis Structure & Closures. - Conducting Strength & Durability analysis for both linear & non-linear cases. - Analyzing results, identifying failure modes, and providing guidance on countermeasures to meet performance criteria. - Documenting results and effectively communicating with stakeholders in design and testing teams to implement failure countermeasures. - Collaborating with Testing teams to analyze failures, correlate CAE results with physical testing outcomes, and enhance the CAE model. - Assisting in creating and assessing Value Enhancement proposals. In terms of Competency Requirements, you should possess: Technical / Functional Skills: - Strong understanding of Strength of Materials, Machine design, and Fatigue principles. - Knowledge and experience in Finite Element Analysis, particularly in Body Structures & Closures CAE domain. - Basic familiarity with Automotive Body & Sheet metal design. - Proficiency in using Hypermesh software to prepare CAE models, create input decks, and conduct analysis in Nastran & LS-Dyna software, along with post-processing in Hyperview & LS Pre-Post. - Experience in Fatigue evaluation using tools like FEMFAT, MSC Fatigue, NCode, and Multibody software such as ADAMS. - Basic exposure to Optimization software like Optistruct and Mode Frontier. - Understanding of physical testing processes and the ability to translate test conditions into CAE representations. - Capability to propose countermeasures for performance enhancement.
