Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

VDI Hypervisor Engineer

to design, implement, and manage

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

environments using leading hypervisor technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in virtualization platforms, desktop delivery, and infrastructure optimization to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance virtual desktop services.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage
VDI solutions
using platforms such as
VMware Horizon
,
Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
, or
Microsoft AVD
.
Configure and maintain
hypervisors
(e.g.,
VMware ESXi
,
Hyper-V
,
Nutanix AHV
) to support virtual desktop workloads.
Monitor and optimize VDI performance, capacity, and user experience.
Implement and manage
user profiles
,
GPOs
,
persistent/non-persistent desktops
, and
application layering
.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for VDI environments.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce access controls and data protection policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-related issues across infrastructure, network, and endpoint layers.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with
hypervisor platforms
(VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
Hands-on expertise in
VDI technologies
(VMware Horizon, Citrix, AVD).
Proficiency in
Windows Server
,
Active Directory
,
Group Policy
, and
PowerShell scripting
.
Knowledge of
storage
,
networking
, and
load balancing
in virtual environments.
Familiarity with
monitoring tools
(e.g., vRealize, Citrix Director, ControlUp).

Preferred Skills:

Certifications such as
VMware VCP
,
Citrix CCA/CCP
, or
Microsoft Azure certifications
.
Experience with
cloud-based VDI
(Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS WorkSpaces).
Exposure to
zero trust architecture
,
multi-factor authentication
, and
endpoint security
.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in
Information Technology
,
Computer Science
, or related field.
5-10 years of experience in virtualization and VDI infrastructure roles.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Customer-focused mindset with attention to performance and reliability.
