Job Summary:

The Project Management Analyst Automation & Data Insights will support project managers and business leaders by streamlining project tracking, reporting, and analysis through automation tools. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, experienced in using VBA (Excel macros), Tableau, Power BI, Power Query, and other automation tools to drive data-driven decisions and improve efficiency across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective data solutions and tools.
• Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports using Excel VBA, Power Query, and Tableau.
• Create automated templates and trackers to support project scheduling, cost control, risk management, and progress reporting.
• Consolidate project data from multiple sources for accurate portfolio-level reporting.
• Analyze project KPIs (cost, time, quality) and prepare variance and trend reports.
• Support ad hoc data analysis requests and scenario modeling using Excel and visualization tools.
• Write optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Transform and structure raw data through data cleansing, normalization, and aggregation for effective reporting and insights..
• Participate in weekly/monthly reviews, ensuring timely updates and insights are shared with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery through automation and process enhancement.
• Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and IT/BI teams to define requirements for automation and dashboard needs.
• Communicate findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical
• Leverage advanced Excel techniques (Power Query, array formulas, pivot tables, dynamic dashboards, etc.) to design robust, user-friendly analytical models and reports.
• Develop and maintain VBA macros and custom Excel-based automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and support complex business logic.
• Write optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• VBA programming which includes code debugging and optimization

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management support, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of project management principles (Agile/Waterfall methodologies).
• Familiarity with project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, or others) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts)
• VBA / Macros
• Conditional formatting, data validation, advanced charting

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Data modeling and publishing reports

• Data wrangling using Excel Power Query, SQL scripts, or ETL tools, prep builder
