Value and Access Insights - Manager

Role Overview: You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Value & Access Insights team at Amgen. Your role will involve understanding the pharmaceutical ecosystem and data sets, providing managed markets analysis, overseeing a team of associates, building relationships with cross-functional partners, performing advanced analytics, and creating data analytics models using SQL, Python, and Microsoft Excel. Key Responsibilities: - Understand pharmaceutical ecosystem and data sets including medical and pharmacy claims - Provide managed markets analysis including product formulary position, utilization management controls, customer segmentation, and control/sophistication assessment - Prepare and present periodic reports tracking product and portfolio performance - Oversee efforts of 1-3 associates, set performance standards, manage their staffing, and monitor performance - Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners - Perform advanced analytics including longitudinal patient level analysis, time series modeling, and customer segmentation - Create data analytics models to generate strategic actionable business insights Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in computer science, statistics, or STEM majors with a minimum of 5 years of Information Systems experience OR - Bachelors degree in computer science, statistics, or STEM majors with a minimum of 7 years of Information Systems experience - Experience with new product/indication launch especially in respiratory disease area - Working experience on Analytics of products with Medical benefit and Pharmacy benefit usage - Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills - Exceptional written/oral communication skills - Authoritative command of complexity and ambiguity - Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence different styles - 5+ years of healthcare experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, health care, and/or strategy consulting - High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills - Exhibits a strong understanding of business strategies Please note that Amgen ensures individuals with disabilities are provided with reasonable accommodation throughout the job application or interview process.
