UX/UI Engineer

You will be joining Pandita AI, a startup based in Palo Alto, dedicated to developing specialized foundation models, multimodal agents, and automation tools to tackle real-world challenges across various sectors such as science, enterprise, and industrial systems. The company's AI engineering division in Mysore is thriving, focusing on creating intuitive, elegant, and scalable interfaces for both internal tools and client-facing demonstrations. As a UX/UI & Product Designer at Pandita AI, you will have the opportunity to take charge of product thinking using innovative tools like ChatGPT, Grok, and internal LLMs to replace traditional product management responsibilities. Your role involves collaborating closely with researchers and engineers to deliver UI/UX solutions for AI demonstrations and interfaces promptly, without the need for extensive product specifications. In this dynamic position, you will blend visual storytelling, interactive UI development, and independent product ideation. Your responsibilities will include utilizing tools like ChatGPT, Deep Research, and Grok to handle tasks typically managed by a Product Manager, conducting market research, defining user stories, discovering features, and supporting prototyping efforts. Additionally, you will design and launch Streamlit apps and dashboards showcasing the company's AI capabilities and create compelling presentations and visual assets that simplify technical research into engaging narratives. As an autonomous product owner, you will be responsible for researching feature ideas, analyzing competitors, and implementing best UX practices, crafting user stories and flows, developing content for UI and presentations, simulating user feedback, and designing polished slides and pitch decks for various purposes. You will also collaborate with AI researchers and subject matter experts to comprehend core systems and visualize their functionalities effectively. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Product Design, HCI, or Computer Science. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar software is essential. A strong portfolio showcasing your work on slides, Streamlit apps, dashboards, or visual interfaces for tech products is required, along with hands-on experience in Streamlit or Python-based web UIs. Demonstrated expertise in leveraging tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok for driving product ideation, writing, and workflow creation, as well as experience collaborating with engineers and researchers in fast-paced environments, are also crucial. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with LLM or GenAI-based tools and prompt workflows, a basic understanding of API integration, cloud deployment (Streamlit Cloud, AWS), and version control, and comfort working autonomously in a high-velocity environment, driven by curiosity.
