Group Overview: Digital Experience & Design (DXD)

Within ZS' Design & Technology group, the Digital Experience & Design (DXD) group works with clients to design effective solutions that support & enhance critical business processes and manages the implementation of those solutions. The User Experience team, specifically, spearheads a variety of user experience engagements from large scale business transformation and customer experience initiatives to interactive dashboards and custom applications for mobile and desktop.

Role Overview

ZS Associates, a global leader in sales and marketing effectiveness, seeks a User Experience/ User Interface (UX/UI) Designer to join our Pune office. As a UX/UI Designer in the User Experience Consulting Team, you are responsible for following direction and guidelines, as well as applying design systems and user experience industry best practices. You will collaborate with and support other members of the DXD team to help design a range of digital solutions for mobile and Web.

We are seeking a highly skilled UI/UX Designer to create intuitive and visually engaging user interfaces by collaborating with UX designers, researchers, and developers. In this role, you will be responsible for designing wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, interactive prototypes, and design assets tailored for enterprise applications. Additionally, you will contribute to design systems to ensure consistency across products and maintain a cohesive user experience.

A key responsibility of this role is working closely with developers to seamlessly translate design concepts into functional components. You will also conduct UI audits to evaluate usability, accessibility, and visual coherence, identifying opportunities for improvement and refinement.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundational understanding of usability principles and their impact on user interaction. Awareness of accessibility guidelines and best practices is essential for creating inclusive and user-friendly designs. They should be familiar with current Gen-AI design accelerators and tools, as well as understand how these can be used to enhance and accelerate the design process. Additionally, familiarity with design heuristics and their influence on UI decisions will be critical in delivering effective and engaging user experiences.

Qualifications

ZS welcomes candidates who hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a visual design field, including graphic design, interaction design, illustration or comparable design discipline; We are looking for individuals with 1-3 years of experience in the field of UI/UX Design, with a focus on designing and delivering applications including reports, portals, end-to-end custom and low-code applications (e.g. SFDC, Power Apps) and mobile apps.

The most critical qualifications for us include:

UX/UI Design:

• A strong portfolio featuring design work for enterprise and B2B, that showcases visual design for mobile or desktop applications, infographics, iconography or other visual design work, and the ability to show in your portfolio how it led to positive business outcomes.
• Solid experience working with design tools like Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Illustrator), etc.
• Experience and familiarity with current Gen-AI design accelerators and tools; skilled in prompt writing.
• Ability to visually design user interfaces for complex business applications, including branding and design best practices for mobile and desktop applications.
• Ability to translate a client’s brand into user interfaces, following UX design best practices for mobile and desktop applications.
• Ability to understand and follow visual design documentation, including design systems, and leverage it into our prototypes for clients and stakeholders.
• A high attention to design detail is critical;
• An understanding of modern BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and low code applications (e.g. Power Apps, SFDC), as well as UI Frameworks is highly desirable.
• Experience collaborating with and/or supporting user experience design teams is a plus.

Business Knowledge and Acumen:

• Able to visually support user interface design for complex business applications by collaborating with other members of the user experience team.
• Ability to translate design systems into user interfaces, following visual design best practices for mobile and desktop applications.
• Ability to follow visual design documentation like pattern libraries and brand guidelines and leverage it to execute mock-ups for clients and stakeholders.
• A foundational understanding of enterprise software is required.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and how they manifest in enterprise software to support end-users is a plus.
• Previous experience working in pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of healthcare is a plus.

Client Management and Communication:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to clearly document design decisions made with stakeholders and development teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the desire to participate in design discussions that help to move projects forward.
• Ability to participate in a team environment where individuals can communicate and contribute freely.
• Ability to communicate information in a meaningful way that is easy to understand. Candidates should have the ability to travel to client locations (25%) to work with teams and provide in-person expertise.
