Job
Description
As a seasoned U.S. Trade Lane Specialist, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end ocean freight operations and client relationships. Your role will involve hands-on experience in U.S. customs processes, AES filing, OBL coordination, and DDP/DAP delivery cycles. This strategic position requires fluency in international shipping protocols, carrier/vendor coordination, and a commitment to customer service excellence. Your key responsibilities will include managing outbound (export) operations from U.S. origin ocean freight. This involves overseeing the full cycle of ocean exports, from freight rate procurement to BL issuance and billing. You will book space with steamship lines or agents, ensure cargo readiness aligns with ERD timelines, and file AES documentation prior to vessel cutoff. Additionally, you will review Bills of Lading, handle corrections, and manage final invoicing from carriers. Inbound (import) operations for U.S. destination shipments will also be under your purview. You will track inbound shipments, coordinate Arrival Notices, and collaborate with nominated brokers or consignees for pre-clearance documentation. Your responsibilities will include ensuring DO issuance, providing trucking instructions before vessel ETA, monitoring customs clearance, 7501 availability, and post-delivery container return. Furthermore, you will take ownership of DDP/DAP shipments, managing end-to-end delivery processes. This will involve gathering door delivery quotes, collecting essential documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating deliveries, managing vendor invoicing, and monitoring container return and file closure. The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5 years of experience in U.S.-based freight forwarding or NVOCC operations, with exposure to export/import documentation. Strong familiarity with FMC regulations, OTI licensing, AES filings, and U.S. Customs procedures is essential. You should also have a proven ability to quote DDP/DAP shipments, manage landed-cost planning, and coordinate with various stakeholders in the logistics chain. Proficiency in CRM, TMS, or ERP systems is preferred. Joining us means being part of a strategic role that acts as a critical bridge between global clients, U.S. service partners, and our leadership team.
