US Tax Specialist

Role & responsibilities Flexibility to work in US shift is essential. Review complex U.S. Federal and State tax returns , primarily Form 1065 with real estate activities and multi-tier partnerships. Interpret and apply IRS tax codes related to real estate transactions , depreciation (MACRS, bonus), Section 704(b), 754, and 1031 exchanges. Identify and address tax technical issues, ensuring quality and compliance. Review K-1 allocations, capital account maintenance, and basis calculations. Collaborate with U.S. engagement teams to clarify tax positions, resolve queries, and deliver final tax products on time. Coach and supervise tax preparers ; perform technical reviews and provide feedback. Keep up to date with U.S. tax law changes and internal best practices. Work with U.S. tax software (e.g.,GoSystem, CCH Axcess, Ultratax) for preparation and review. Preferred candidate profile CPA (US) or Enrolled Agent (EA) mandatory. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing U.S. partnership and real estate tax returns . Strong technical knowledge of U.S. tax law relating to partnerships, real estate investments, depreciation, and passive activities. Prior experience in Big 4 or large tax outsourcing firms preferred. Proficiency in Excel and leading U.S. tax software. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
