US Tax Specialist

As the Tax Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the tax department. Your duties will include developing and implementing standardized workpapers, workflows, and operational procedures. You will be tasked with managing accounting and tax reviews, conducting Tax Return Review appointments with 1040 Clients, and reviewing Tax Business and individual Tax Returns. Additionally, you will be preparing more complex returns and designing and scripting workflows while conducting reviews for outsourced accounting services. In this role, you will also act as the controller of the firm's outsourced accounting department, formulating tax planning strategies for business and individual clients, performing research and tax memos for transactional and tax planning matters, and developing and mentoring members within our tax department. To be successful in this position, you should ideally hold a CPA certification or be on the path to obtaining one. You should have 6-10 years of experience in public accounting, with a proven track record of managing and developing staff. A high level of technical tax and accounting acumen is essential for this role. Extensive experience working with Real Estate Professionals and Partnerships is preferred. As a self-driven and independent individual, you should possess a deep knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) functionality to excel in this role.,
