US Tax & Payroll Specialist

You will be part of a fast-growing finance and accounting services firm that supports US-based startups, SMBs, and mid-sized enterprises with comprehensive finance, compliance, and strategic assistance. Clients rely on our accurate, timely, and scalable solutions that extend beyond basic bookkeeping. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with multi-state wage and hour laws, preparing and filing various IRS/state forms such as Forms 941, 940, W-2s, handling garnishments, deductions, and reimbursements. In terms of US Taxation (Federal & State), you will be expected to prepare and review federal and state tax filings for S-corps, C-corps, and LLCs, support clients during tax season with 1099/1096 preparation and filing, reconcile year-end financials with tax filings, collaborate with CPAs and external advisors for strategic tax planning, assist clients with IRS/state correspondence and audits, and proficiently manage tax scrutiny, assessments, and reassessments. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring timely responses and resolutions to client concerns. The ideal candidate should have familiarity with tools like Avalara, Tax Jar, or Vertex, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and documentation abilities, attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple clients concurrently. Preferred qualifications include an EA (Enrolled Agent) license (preferred but not mandatory), CPA or MBA in Finance (a plus), and prior experience working in a US outsourcing firm, which is considered a strong advantage.,
