Job Description

US Tax Preparers

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review US Federal and State tax returns: 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 990, Schedule C & E.
Review prior year tax returns and financials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Conduct client interviews to understand financials and develop tax strategies.
Prepare and maintain working papers for partnerships and corporate tax filings.
Handle payroll setup, processing, tax payments, and preparation of W-2/1099 forms.
Utilize tax software such as ProSeries, Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax, CCH, etc.
Analyze and interpret complex tax laws and provide recommendations to clients.
Monitor changes in tax legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams and US-based CPA firms.
Deliver high-quality, client-focused tax and accounting services.

Required Experience & Skills:

Minimum 4 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation and review.
Strong working knowledge of tax software: CCH, ProSeries, Lacerte, Drake, UltraTax, etc.
Proficient in tools like QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, MYOB, SAP, Tally, Accounting CS.
Hands-on experience with US Corp tax (1120, 1120S, 1065) for at least 5 years.
Extensive experience preparing and reviewing individual tax returns (1040).
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong analytical, research, and decision-making abilities.
Capable of working independently and managing client communication.
Solution-oriented and proactive in identifying tax-saving opportunities.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA or EA certification is a strong plus.
Prior experience working with US-based CPA firms or clients.
Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations.
Experience using cloud-based bookkeeping platforms.
