US IT Recruiter - Intern

About the Role:

SMK Soft is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Recruiter Intern who is eager to learn the end-to-end recruitment process for technical and non-technical roles in the U.S. market. This internship will give you hands-on experience with real-world recruiting tasks under the mentorship of experienced professionals who have worked with top U.S. clients and Tier-1 vendors like Infosys, Wipro, and HCL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist recruiters in sourcing candidates using platforms like LinkedIn, Naukri, Dice, and others.
• Learn to review and screen resumes for technical roles such as Software Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Analysts.
• Support coordination and scheduling of interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Update and maintain candidate pipelines and records in internal databases (ATS/CRM).
• Help research market trends, job descriptions, and technology terms to better understand open positions.
• Participate in team meetings and strategy sessions to improve recruiting effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, IT, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in technology and recruiting; prior exposure or certification in recruiting is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, client-facing IT staffing environment.
• Basic understanding of job portals and MS Office/Google Workspace.
