As a US Accounting Associate at Lee & Nieda, a full-service CPA firm based in Miami, FL, you will be responsible for supporting US-based clients by managing day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy of financial records in compliance with US GAAP. Your role will require strong technical accounting skills, hands-on experience with accounting software, and effective client communication. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of deliverables. - Prepare financial statements, management reports, and other client-specific deliverables. - Assist in implementing and improving accounting processes and internal controls. - Communicate effectively with US clients to obtain financial data, clarify discrepancies, and resolve queries. - Utilize accounting platforms such as QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) and Accounting CS to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. **Qualifications** - Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. - Experience: 1-3 years of experience in US bookkeeping or accounting roles. **Technical Skills** - Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) and Microsoft Excel. - Knowledge of US GAAP and preparation of financial statements. **Soft Skills** - Strong communication skills, particularly in handling client interactions across time zones. - Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational abilities. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
