Job Summary

Instrumentation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

Work closely with project teams, vendors, and contractors to develop instrumentation and control strategies.
Design, specify, and procure instruments like
flow meters, pressure transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and DCS/SCADA systems
.
Review P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control system architecture for accuracy and compliance.
Assist in preparing
URS (User Requirement Specification)
,
FDS (Functional Design Specification)
, and
Risk Assessment documents
.
Oversee
installation, commissioning, validation, and calibration
of instruments.

2. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure instrumentation and control systems comply with
GMP, FDA, WHO, MHRA, and other regulatory guidelines
.
Develop
IQ/OQ/PQ (Installation, Operational & Performance Qualification) protocols
for validation.
Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.

3. Automation & Integration

Work on
PLC, SCADA, DCS, and IoT-based automation solutions
for process control.
Collaborate with IT and process teams to ensure
21 CFR Part 11 compliance
for data integrity.
Implement
Industry 4.0 solutions
for smart manufacturing.

4. Troubleshooting & Support

Analyze and resolve
instrumentation failures, calibration errors, and process deviations
.
Provide technical support during
Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and validation phases
.
Train maintenance and production teams on instrumentation best practices.
