the subsequent Job Overview: Oversees all financial management aspects in Nava Avocado Limited (NAL) & Kawambwa Sugar Limited (KSL) which includes Financial Reporting on timely basis, maintaining Bank and other Credit Institution Relationships, Cash Management, Budget Preparation, Contract Review and Approval, maintain internal controls, Coordination of Annual Audit, Tax Returns, Governmental Information Returns, implementation and review of robust policies and processes. Key Responsibilities: 1. Finance and Accounting Oversight: Oversee of finance and accounting operations (including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, payroll processing and monthly reconciliations) to ensure timely and accurate financial information with appropriate internal controls; Review and manage, and establish as needed, new internal systems and controls, operations, processes and financial procedures to ensure the integrity of financial Information and reporting; and Prepare cash flow projections based on existing balances (cash, receivables, lines of credit, accounts payable, commitments, budget items and most recent knowledge of operating plans). 2. Budgeting: Manage the annual budgeting process, based upon most recent data and information available including preparing projections from departmental operating plans and; Conduct financial review and analysis to present budget scenarios for Management and Board discussion prior to finalizing subsequent fiscal year budget. 3. Coordination of Annual Audits: Lead annual audit process, ensuring year-round compliance with International Accounting Standard and Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZiCA) accounting standards. 4. Relationship Management: Maintain banking relationships and serve as primary liaison with Financial and Lender Institutions respectively. 5. Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually in accordance with International Accounting Standards as well as provide other financial information to the Chief Executive Officer, other members of the Management Team and Board of Directors, as appropriate, to inform decision making and action initiative; and Lead timely and accurate preparation of all tax returns and other information as required by governing bodies. 6. Operations Oversight : Evaluate and administer risk management and insurance policies. Oversee contract management, lease agreements and contractual policies and procedures as needed. Ensure that all contractors are on the vendor register and that they are paid according to terms of agreement; and Responsible for ensuring that the payroll is accurate and that employees are paid on time. 7. Team Leadership and Capacity Building: In liaison with the Chief Financial Officer, provide input to staff performance appraisals, identify performance gaps and draw up staff development plans in order to improve performance. Consistently demonstrate and reflect behaviours, actions and attitudes in line with the companys Vision, Values and Code of Ethics; and 8. Specific Context: The role requires frequent/need-based travel to sites in Zambia; The role operates from corporate office in Hyderabad 9. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in commerce Chartered accountant (CA) 10. Experience: 15 years experience in finance and accounts, with 7 years at senior management level; Experience of working in a controller role with large multi-site and multi-national companies. 11. Knowledge: Knowledge of accounting, auditingand reporting; Conversant with the ERP such as SAP; Knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
