Urgent requirement of Senior SAP Basis Administrator @ Hyderabad Hyderabad 15 - 20 years INR 18.0 - 25.0 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: This position is responsible for developing and managing complex SAP landscapes including SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and associated databases, along with virtualization technologies, Linux-based systems, and SAN storage infrastructure. The role demands strategic thinking, technical leadership, and an in-depth understanding of enterprise-scale systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: SAP Basis Administration Design, install, configure, and maintain SAP landscapes including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and other SAP components. Perform system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, patch management, and transport management. Manage SAP user and role administration in coordination with SAP Security. Execute SAP migrations (OS/DB), system upgrades, and conversions to S/4HANA. Manage SAP HANA and traditional RDBMS databases including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and space management. Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacity planning. Troubleshoot and resolve complex Basis issues across SAP modules and integrations. Virtualization and Infrastructure Administer SAP systems hosted on virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud-based virtualization platforms). Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize compute and storage allocations for SAP workloads. Support SAP deployments on hybrid cloud environments, including system provisioning and scalability assessments. Operating Systems & Storage Administer SAP systems on Linux (RHEL, SUSE) or equivalent operating systems. Perform OS-level scripting (bash, shell, or Python) for automation and system monitoring. Oversee SAN/NAS storage provisioning, zoning, performance analysis, and integration with SAP applications. Coordinate with storage and network teams to ensure end-to-end system availability and data protection. Project Management & Leadership Lead Basis teams and mentor junior administrators. Collaborate with functional teams, application owners, and external vendors. Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, and system governance policies. Prepare and maintain system documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base. Required Skills & Qualifications Minmum 15 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration. Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA , SAP HANA DB , and legacy SAP ERP environments. Proficient in Linux operating systems , virtualization technologies, and shell scripting. Experience with SAP migrations , system upgrades, and performance tuning. Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager (7.2) for monitoring and system administration. Working knowledge of SAN storage technologies , disaster recovery planning, and backup solutions (e.g.,Veritas, NetBackup). Experience with cloud-based SAP deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Education & Certifications Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA or S/4HANA desirable. ITIL certification is a plus. Preferred Traits Proactive and solutionorientatedd mindset. Role & responsibilities Sourcing & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers for indirect goods and services based on quality, cost, delivery, and service. Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, prices, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers. Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, and resolving any issues or disputes. Develop and maintain a robust supplier database and supplier performance metrics. Procurement Operations: Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system. Expedite orders and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Resolve discrepancies with invoices, delivery, and quality. Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and documentation. Collaborate with accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing. Facilitate communication between internal users and suppliers. Cost Optimization & Savings: Identify opportunities for cost reduction through negotiation, alternative sourcing, value analysis, and process improvements. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service. Track and report on cost savings achieved. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks (e.g., single sourcing, geopolitical risks, quality issues). Ensure proper contract management and legal compliance. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering/Supply Chain Management Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in indirect procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Proven track record of achieving cost savings and managing supplier relationships effectively. Experience with ERP systems - SAP is essential. Experience with e-procurement platforms and tools is a plus. Required Skills: Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
