Job Summary: We are looking for a Stores Head to oversee and manage all store-related functions at multiple construction project sites. The role is responsible for inventory control, material planning, staff supervision, compliance, and reporting , ensuring seamless material flow to support timely project execution and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Material & Inventory Management Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials across all project sites. Ensure materials are stored in accordance with industry best practices to prevent damage, theft, or wastage. Maintain accurate inventory records , manage stock levels, and coordinate reorder planning with procurement. Documentation & Systems Manage all store documentation including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) , Material Requisition Notes (MRN) , Material Issue Vouchers (MIV) , and Stock Registers . Ensure timely entry of data into ERP or store management systems (e.g., SAP MM, Tally, Oracle, or Construction ERP). Reconcile physical stock vs system stock and ensure audit readiness. Site Coordination & Supply Chain Support Coordinate with Project Managers , Procurement , and Site Engineers for timely material requirements. Plan and manage inter-site transfer of materials as needed. Track slow-moving , obsolete , or surplus stock and initiate appropriate actions. Team & Vendor Management Supervise storekeepers, helpers, and warehouse staff across sites. Ensure proper training and discipline within the team. Coordinate with vendors and transporters for smooth and timely deliveries. Compliance & Safety Enforce proper safety protocols for handling hazardous or heavy materials. Ensure compliance with internal controls , ISO/QA standards , and audit requirements . Maintain housekeeping and ensure 5S or 6S implementation in storage areas. Reporting & Analysis Prepare and present reports on inventory status, stock aging, material consumption trends , and cost analysis . Work closely with finance for inventory valuation and monthly closing activities. Required Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction materials and handling procedures. Strong skills in inventory control , documentation , and warehouse layout management . Proficient in SAP MM, Tally ERP, Excel , or other inventory software. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field . Certification in inventory or warehouse management is a plus. Familiarity with construction ERP systems and audit procedures preferred.
