Description
Role & responsibilities AWS DevOps Engineer will be working with the engineering team and focusing on AWS infrastructure and infrastructure automation. Roles and Responsibilities • Design and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure mainly AWS • Work closely with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements • Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure. • Automate infrastructure with AWS Cloud Formation scripts(IaaS) • Manage Linux based systems, implement fixes for vulnerabilities • Monitor and analyze infrastructure and systems for security threats, performance issues and take proactive actions. • Database administration (installation, upgrades, replication, backup restore) (at least one - mysql, postgres, mongodb) • AWS Cloud services experience or any other cloud (vpc and networking, compute, storage, autoscaling, packer & HA setups) • Knowledge of git operations and branching, along with CICD pipeline development using Jenkins or any other tool • Experience with at least one monitoring and alerting system eg : prometheus & grafana • Experience with log aggregation and analytics using ELK stack or any other tool • Worked on kubernetes architecture and deployment of applications to production systems with end to end monitoring and pipelines • AWS serverless stacks using lambda, api gateway, cloudfront • Experience with any scripting language like bash or python. Qualifications: Must have: • At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure for high-volume web applications. • Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking • Experience with AWS CLI tools and APIs • Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments, knowledge of AWS best practices • Good understanding of networking and Linux system administration • Experience with CI/CD tools and implementing deployment automation. • Experience with Docker, Git, Github Actions/webhooks, Redis cluster, Postgres, Nginx, and managing applications on AWS • Expertise in scripting languages • Computer Science Degree or equivalent
