You will be joining our Underwriting team as an Underwriting Trainee, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the risk assessment and decision-making processes for insurance products. Throughout your journey, you will receive on-the-job training and exposure to industry-standard practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist senior underwriters by reviewing and analyzing applications for insurance or loan products. - Evaluate risk levels using client data, documents, and internal guidelines. - Input and maintain accurate data in underwriting systems. - Collaborate with sales, operations, and compliance teams to gather additional information or clarification. - Ensure timely processing of applications within SLA timelines. - Learn and implement underwriting policies, procedures, and tools. - Prepare basic reports or summaries for underwriter review. - Uphold confidentiality and adhere to regulatory and company standards. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. - Freshers or candidates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply. - Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Good typing skills. - Detail-oriented and organized with a strong willingness to learn. You will be based in Chennai and should be willing to work in shifts, including night shifts. Please note that this is a Contract Hiring for a duration of 0.6 to 1 year. Based on your performance during this period, you may have the opportunity to transition into permanent roles within the company.
