The technician is responsible for assisting with diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic procedures such as ERCP, EUS/EBUS, GI bleeds, food impaction and foreign body removal, stenting of the esophagus, duodenum, and colon. Technicians also support pulmonary diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic procedures such as bronchial lavage, navigational bronchoscopy, and endoscopic bronchial ultrasound. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. High School diploma or general education degree required GI Technical Specialist (GTS) Certification required. FOR BMH ONLY: GTS Certification or SGNA Certification required. BLS for healthcare provider certification required Previous Related Experience Required.
