UI/UX Design Intern

We are looking for a talented and motivated UI/UX Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centred design principles and be able to translate those principles into visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. The intern will work closely with the Senior UI/UX Designer to develop and implement new features and improve the usability of existing products.

The intern will also be responsible for bringing a creative and immersive perspective to the design process. This includes thinking outside the box, exploring new ideas, and challenging the status quo. The intern should be able to think visually and have a strong understanding of colour, typography, and composition.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Conduct user research to understand user needs and pain points

• 
  Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualise design concepts

• 
  Collaborate with engineers and developers to implement designs

• 
  Test and evaluate designs to ensure usability and effectiveness

• 
  Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in UI/UX design

• 
  Bring a creative and immersive perspective to the design process

Requirements

• 
  Undergraduate degree in design, computer science, or a related field

• 
  6 Months to 1 year of experience in UI/UX design (optional)

• 
  Strong understanding of user-centred design principles

• 
  Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• 
  Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamiq)

• 
  Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• 
  Strong creative and immersive thinking skills is a must.

Internship Terms:

• 
  Duration - 6 months

• 
  No stipend will be paid during this period.

• 
  The candidate might be considered for a stipend or for a job opportunity within Icanio, depending on performance, available opportunities and market conditions at the time of internship completion.
