Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated UFT Automation Tester with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using Micro Focus UFT (formerly HP UFT/QTP) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, and will collaborate closely with functional testers, developers, and business analysts to ensure high-quality software delivery. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Design and develop automation test scripts using UFT/QTP for functional and regression testing. Work with test leads and stakeholders to understand test requirements and scope. Maintain, update, and enhance existing automation frameworks. Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects using tools like ALM / Quality Center / JIRA . Integrate UFT scripts with test management tools (e.g., ALM). Perform manual testing when necessary for cases not covered by automation. Participate in test planning, test case reviews, and defect triage meetings. Provide timely updates on test execution progress and automation status. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Essential skills: Required Skills and Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in automation testing using UFT/QTP . Strong VBScript skills to develop and debug UFT scripts. Hands-on experience with HP ALM / Micro Focus ALM , including test lab and defect management. Familiarity with test automation frameworks , object repositories, and data-driven testing. Experience in working on Agile or Waterfall projects. Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and test life cycle (STLC). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Desired skills: 1. Good communication skills 2. Proactive 3. Should not repeat same mistakes 4.
