Lead Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers, fostering technical excellence and innovation.
Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs using
Node.js, TypeScript, and .NET
.
Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to define system design, technical requirements, and delivery timelines.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices for coding standards, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
Conduct regular code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable code across the team.
Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and automated deployment processes.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring performance, availability, and system reliability.
Contribute to architectural decisions, technology stack selection, and long-term technical strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

710 years of professional experience in backend development.
Minimum 23 years in a
leadership or team lead
role.
Strong expertise in
Node.js
,
TypeScript
, and
.NET Core
.
Hands-on experience in designing
RESTful APIs
and working with
microservices architecture
.
Strong understanding of cloud services (
AWS / Azure / GCP
).
Experience with relational & NoSQL databases (e.g.,
SQL Server, MongoDB
).
Working experience with
Docker
,
Kubernetes
, and DevOps workflows.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Knowledge of distributed systems and high-performance architecture.
Exposure to serverless computing and cloud-native design patterns.
