Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Assisted in the development and optimization of API synthesis processes.
Performed lab-scale synthesis of intermediates and APIs following GMP/GLP guidelines.
Supported scale-up activities and technology transfer from R&D to pilot plant/production.
Maintained accurate experiment records, development reports, and technical documentation.
Coordinated with analytical teams for sample testing and interpretation of HPLC/GC/IR/NMR data.
Identified opportunities to improve yield, purity, and process efficiency.
Ensured compliance with safety protocols, SOPs, and EHS standards.
Collaborated with production, QA, and regulatory teams for smooth project execution.

Preferred candidate profile:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry / Organic Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Strong understanding of organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms.
Hands-on experience in laboratory practices and handling chemicals/equipment.
Basic knowledge of GMP/GLP and pharma regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, IR, NMR (added advantage).
Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
