Job Purpose

• Provide Transport Planning inputs for preparation of Master Plan, Review the overall traffic network for port area for further augmentation and proposals within Port Master Plan area.
• Carry out Detailing for road geometry and size of the road for the port Master Plan and further connectivity to NH for each port locations. Assist with drawings for implementation of planning projects and proposals.
• Study and implementation of Traffic and transportation proposal for economical dispersal of port cargo.
• Transport planner in the Planning & proposal discipline will ensure process driven, cost effective, quality oriented & time bound delivery of relevant deliverables as per the requirement of client / other disciplines and within the agreed response time.

Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in Finalization of Master Plan by providing Transport Planning inputs for Preparation of Master Plan
• Review and provide inputs for new proposal within Master Plan area and finalization of road planning projects for efficient port operation and augment cargo handling capacity.
• Carry out detailed geometric alignment for port road and as per actual width requirement of buildings, road, yard, utilities and Incorporation of planned proposal in master plan leading to updated Master plan.
• Assist with drawings for Implementation of planning projects and planned proposals of Master Plan.
• Review and assist in implementation of Traffic and transportation Proposals for economical dispersal of port cargo with least bottleneck.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Designing and planning of Road networks for ports, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
• Managing port development projects, optimizing existing network, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards within the Budget Cost, Project Schedule & as per Project Quality Requirements
• Implementation of new technologies and adherence to the modern engineering processes
• Regular interaction with all stake holders for seamless interfaces
• Preparation of Pre-Feasibility Report & Detailed Project Report for new proposal projects for roads and infrastructure projects

Educational Qualifications & Experience required for the role.

Qualification

• B.Arch. & Masters in Planning with specialization in Transport Planning.

Experience

• Minimum 5-9 years of relevant experience
• Port road network planning, and geometrical design with basic logistics exposure
• Experience in overseeing port development projects and ensuring safety standards
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance related road and infra engineering
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
