Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day employee transportation, including route creation, scheduling, and shift-wise planning.
  • Ensure timely deployment of vehicles for pick-ups and drops.
  • Monitor real-time vehicle movement through routing and tracking applications.
  • Coordinate with drivers for on-time performance and route adherence.
  • Handle emergency transport requirements and escalations.

B. Routing & Technology Management

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Move&Sync (mandatory preference).
  • Familiarity with other routing software/tools such as Ryder, Supreme, Verayu, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to optimise transport routes based on shift patterns, locality clusters, and real-time conditions.
  • Monitor GPS tracking, driver behaviour, idling, speed, and ensure compliance with safety norms.

C. Vendor Management

  • Daily coordination with transport vendors for vehicle availability, driver performance, and service quality.
  • Maintain backup vehicle plans and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Track and verify vendor billing, trip sheets, absenteeism, and additional cost claims.
  • Raise deviations, performance issues, or penalties as per contract terms.

D. Employee Experience & Communication

  • Act as a SPOC for employees regarding transport support, concerns, and route changes.
  • Resolve incident reports, delays, or behavioral issues with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Manage communication for schedule updates, re-routing, and emergency announcements.

E. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all vehicles meet statutory compliance (FC, RC, Insurance, Permits, Pollution).
  • Verify driver documents, background checks, safety training, and behavior audits.
  • Implement company security protocols including female travelers safety, panic alerts, GPS, and escort deployment where required.
  • Maintain records of accidents, incidents, and ensure appropriate escalation.

F. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on ridership, cost, route efficiency, and vendor performance.
  • Maintain transport dashboards, trip summaries, audit records, and exception logs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for billing validation and reconciliation.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency with Move&Sync transport routing software (preferred).
  • Knowledge of other routing apps / transport management systems.
  • Strong understanding of Chennai city routes, traffic patterns, and area demography.
  • Basic Excel & MIS reporting skills.

Behavioural Skills

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to handle pressure, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and quick decision-making ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for driver and employee management.

4. Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate employee transportation for medium/large-scale organizations.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts (including early morning or late-night shifts as required).
  • Knowledge of transport compliance, audits, safety standards, and emergency handling.
  • Prior experience in managing female employee transportation protocols.
  • Exposure to fleet management and vendor billing reconciliation.

5. Education

  • Bachelors Degree (preferred)
  • Diploma holders with strong experience in transport operations may also apply.
