Job Title: Trainer – Glasswork

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Glasswork Trainer to train and mentor students/trainees in the field of glass cutting, shaping, processing, and finishing. The trainer will be responsible for delivering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical sessions to ensure learners acquire the competencies required for careers in glasswork industries such as construction, interiors, and decorative arts.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical training sessions on glasswork techniques, tools, and safety.
• Train learners in glass cutting, polishing, etching, glazing, laminating, and fitting.
• Provide guidance on the use of manual and powered glasswork tools.
• Teach proper safety standards, workplace hygiene, and equipment handling.
• Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and assessments as per curriculum.
• Conduct hands-on demonstrations and supervise trainees during practice sessions.
• Assess learner performance, provide feedback, and support in skill improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and safety practices in glasswork.
• Maintain training workshop, equipment, and tools in safe working condition.

Qualifications & Skills

• ITI/Diploma/Certification in Glasswork / Architectural Glass Processing / Glass & Glazing Technology (or related field).
• Minimum 2–5 years of practical industry experience in glass processing, glazing, or decorative glasswork.
• Prior experience in training/teaching (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with learners.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, mentoring, and motivation techniques.

Preferred Attributes

• Familiarity with Sector Skill Council (SSC) or NSDC-aligned curricula.
• Knowledge of glass cutting machinery, CNC glass processing, and finishing tools.
• Hands-on experience in stained glass, decorative etching, or architectural glasswork.
• Willingness to travel for training assignments if required.
