Tour Manager Job Role & Responsibilities

Tour Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Tour Planning:

• Coordinate with vendors (hotels, transport, guides, etc.)
• Finalize tour itineraries and logistics
• Ensure all documentation (tickets, permits, insurance) is in place

• On-Tour Management:

• Accompany the group during the tour
• Ensure smooth execution of the itinerary
• Handle emergencies, delays, and customer concerns
• Manage group dynamics and ensure traveler satisfaction

• Communication & Customer Service:

• Provide commentary and information about destinations
• Offer assistance and support to travelers
• Act as a liaison between clients and local services

• Post-Tour Duties:

• Collect feedback from participants
• Prepare tour reports and incident logs (if any)
• Share suggestions for improvements with management

Required Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Crisis management and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of destinations and local cultures
• Fluency in local and/or international languages preferred

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in tourism, hospitality, or related field (preferred)
• Prior experience in travel or hospitality industry
• Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours
