Job Description

As a Test Engineer for ThingWorx applications and mashups, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Your role will involve validating data flows from various enterprise systems to ThingWorx dashboards and conducting functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of ThingWorx services and UI components. You will also be testing REST APIs and service bindings within ThingWorx and ensuring the verification of role-based access control and user permissions. Collaboration with developers and solution architects to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage is a crucial aspect of this role. You will document defects, track issues, and support resolution using tools like JIRA. Additionally, active participation in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives as part of Agile teams is expected. Your role will also involve supporting UAT and assisting in the preparation of test reports and release documentation. To excel in this position, you should have experience testing applications developed on ThingWorx 8.x/9.x. Familiarity with ThingWorx Mashups, ThingTemplates, ThingShapes, and Services is essential. Knowledge of Polarion ALM, Windchill PLM, or similar industrial integrations will be advantageous. Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS for validation and scripting purposes is required. Experience with PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or other relational databases will be beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and documentation abilities, are key attributes for success in this role.,
