Job Description

Role Overview:

CGI is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in Selenium and related automation frameworks
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites for web applications, ensuring high-quality product delivery through robust testing practices

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver
Build and enhance automation frameworks (Hybrid, Page Object Model, Data-Driven, BDD)
Analyze functional requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases
Automate regression test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
Execute tests, analyze results, log defects, and track them using tools like JIRA/Azure DevOps
Work with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, Git, and other automation tools
Ensure cross-browser testing using Selenium Grid / cloud platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
Implement best practices in automation strategy, test data management, and reporting

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Skills:Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver
Excellent programming skills in Java or Python
Strong understanding of OOP concepts and automation framework design
Expertise in TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle build tools
Experience with BDD tools (Cucumber/Behave) is a plus
Experience integrating automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured) preferred
Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
Experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub/GitLab
Knowledge of SQL for basic data validation
Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
