Test Engineer

Test Engineer : UPI Issuer Bank Testing

We seek a skilled Test Engineer with hands-on experience in UPI Issuer Bank testing. The ideal candidate will deeply understand UPI transaction flows, issuer-side validations, and compliance with NPCI standards. You will work closely with developers, business teams, and external partners to ensure robust and compliant UPI integrations.

Role & responsibilities

• Test and validate UPI flows from the issuer banks perspective (pay, collect, refund, mandate)
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
• Perform API testing and end-to-end transaction validations using tools like Postman or SOAP UI
• Validate NPCI UPI specifications and compliance checklists
• Analyze logs, debug transaction failures, and work with development teams on fixes
• Contribute to regression testing and test automation frameworks
• Coordinate with NPCI and other stakeholders for certification or UAT testing

Preferred candidate profile

• 36 years of experience in UPI testing, specifically on the issuer bank side
• Strong understanding of UPI APIs, transaction flow, error codes, and edge cases
• Familiarity with NPCIs UPI specifications
• Hands-on experience with Postman, JMeter, SoapUI, or similar tools
• Experience working in banking environments or FinTechs
• Understanding of reconciliation and settlement processes is a plus
