Test Engineer

Test Engineer with strong automation experience in Web and API testing

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain

  automation frameworks

  for Web and API applications.
• Develop and execute

  automated test scripts

  using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, or similar tools.
• Perform

  functional, regression, and integration testing

  for web and API layers.
• Validate APIs using automated suites and tools like

  Postman, RestAssured, or Karate

  .
• Integrate test automation with

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to define

  test scenarios and acceptance criteria

  .
• Identify, log, and track issues, ensuring timely resolution and quality sign-off.
• Generate and maintain

  test documentation and quality metrics

  .

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-6 years

  of experience in software testing with strong

  automation expertise in Web and API testing

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress

  for web automation.
• Strong API automation experience with

  RestAssured, Karate, or Postman collections

  .
• Solid programming/scripting knowledge in

  Java, Python, or JavaScript

  .
• Good knowledge of

  SQL

  for backend validation.
• Experience working with

  CI/CD pipelines

  and Git-based version control.
• Familiarity with

  Agile/Scrum

  methodologies.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  

Good to Have (Optional)

• Experience with

  performance testing of APIs

  (JMeter, Gatling).
• Exposure to

  microservices testing

  and contract testing (PACT).
• Experience with

  BDD frameworks

  (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
• Knowledge of

  cloud-based testing environments

  (AWS, Azure).

Education

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
