Description
As a member of our dynamic team at the leading software system in the Energy domain, you will play an integral role in all aspects of Oil & Gas production, from geological exploration to the optimization of ongoing operations. Your work will involve enabling geologists and geophysicists to efficiently research, visualize, and interpret large volumes of geological data. Your responsibilities will include providing engineering support in the drilling and completions area to the DWP team, offering an objective assessment of Product Quality, and contributing as an active Software Tester to deliver product stories. You will be developing Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria, writing comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality, and ensuring all Testing concerns are discussed during Sprint Planning. Collaborating closely with Subject Matter Experts, you will identify and define key End User Workflows, create and maintain Test environments, validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories, and verify that Development changes have no undesired effect on other associated areas of Functionality. You will also be responsible for identifying, communicating, and documenting Bugs in a consistent fashion, tracking Bugs through resolution and implementation, and verifying that Bugs are resolved according to Bug Definition. To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, Geophysics, Geology, or chemical engineering with a minimum GPA of 7.5 and above. A minimum of 2 years of QA experience, with experience in Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred, is required. Additionally, you should have a good understanding of upstream applications, knowledge of basic wells engineering concepts, and experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, and Compass will be advantageous. You should also have a basic understanding of Framework creation using any Automation tool, experience with SDLC/STLC processes, and a complete understanding of various testing types. It would be beneficial to be ISTQB foundation level certified and well-versed with Test Case creation, Defect, and Test Management tools such as Azure DevOps/TFS and JIRA. Comfort with Agile methodologies and excellent Communication Skills are essential for success in this role. Nice to have skills include experience with web applications test automation, API testing, Performance testing, and Azure/AWS cloud services. A proficiency in English at the B2 Upper Intermediate level is required for this position based in Bengaluru, India with the seniority level being Regular.
