The role involves providing engineering support in the drilling and completions area to the DWP team. You will be responsible for conducting an objective assessment of product quality and contributing as an active Software Tester to deliver product stories. Your responsibilities will include developing test cases based on test objectives and acceptance criteria, writing comprehensive test cases to verify product functionality, and contributing during Sprint Planning to ensure all testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing. Additionally, you will work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key end-user workflows, define, create, and maintain test environments, validate functionality according to requirements/stories, and verify that development changes have no undesired effect on other associated areas of functionality. You will also be responsible for identifying, communicating, and documenting bugs in a consistent fashion, tracking bugs through resolution and implementation, and verifying that bugs are resolved according to bug definition. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor or Master's degree from a recognized university in petroleum, geophysics, geology, or chemical engineering with a minimum GPA of 7.5 and above. A minimum of 2 years of QA experience, preferably with Oil and Gas upstream applications, is required. The candidate should have a good understanding of upstream applications and knowledge of basic well engineering concepts, including well construction drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring, and well completions completion designs, well performance analysis. Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, and Compass will be advantageous. Basic understanding of framework creation using any automation tool is essential, along with experience in SDLC/STLC processes and various testing types such as Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing. ISTQB foundation level certification is optional but preferred. Proficiency in Test Case creation and familiarity with defect and test management tools such as Azure DevOps/TFS and JIRA is required. Comfort with Agile methodologies and excellent communication skills are also essential. Nice to have skills include experience with web applications test automation, API testing, Performance testing, and Azure/AWS cloud services.
