Test Engineer - Investment Data Platform

As a Lead Test Engineer for the Investment Data Platform at M&G Global Services, your role will involve delivering platform testing for the investment data platform. You will be responsible for developing automation test frameworks across one or more interrelated data platform teams and promoting the use of best tools for the job. Your collaboration with leads and design of test strategies will support complex deliveries and facilitate knowledge sharing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Be accountable for delivering and maintaining a significant portion of the Investment Data Platform Test capabilities and design/develop testing frameworks. - Apply judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluate solutions, and manage conflicts that may impact delivery. - Promote the use of the best tools for a particular job and keep up-to-date with domain, business, programming languages, and testing tools & technology. - Explore different types of automated/technical testing techniques and drive the test approach. - Understand and build key testing design principles and create testing tools to aid with testing from scratch. - Build, package, and deploy software through environments, manage configuration settings, and check the success of deployment. - Create, maintain, and run functional and non-functional tests within the team, analyze results, and present them to stakeholders. - Perform Root Cause analysis against the issue and provide information in the report, creating automated tests for defects. - Drive the code/test review process, identify improvement opportunities, and implement processes to address them. - Influence testing process standardization and stimulate knowledge sharing initiatives within the team. **Qualifications Required:** - Good knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and Relational & Non-Relational databases management systems. - Experience in building Test Automation frameworks using Groovy, SpecFlow, Selenium, Cucumber etc. - Experience working in an Agile environment, TDD, and BDD methodologies. - Familiarity with Unit testing frameworks and BDD tools. - Experience in Microsoft Azure and API Testing. - Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a project team. - Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and work efficiently to project deadlines. **Additional Details:** M&G Global Services, a subsidiary of M&G plc, offers diverse service offerings including Digital Services, Business Transformation, Management Consulting & Strategy, Finance, and more.
