Test Development Engineer

As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer at Cisco's Product Operations Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and optimizing manufacturing test processes for cutting-edge products. Your contributions will directly impact cost efficiency, test reliability, and seamless product delivery. In this role, you will define and execute the Manufacturing Test Strategy and plan, conduct Design for Testability (DFT) assessments, and collaborate with product design teams to integrate testing solutions early in development. You will develop and implement test automation scripts, perform failure root cause analysis, and support prototype builds and mass production to ensure high-quality outcomes. Additionally, you will manage test capacity and budgets, deploy board and system-level automated functional test processes for complex electronic systems, and utilize Traffic Test Analyzers for Ethernet interface testing. You will also guide debug processes for remote manufacturing test engineers. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-driven team player with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent, along with 6+ years of relevant experience in Product Test and Validation. Proficiency in Ethernet technology, hardware protocols, Manufacturing Test Solutions, test automation using scripting languages like Python, and Design for Testability principles is required. Strong analytical skills, familiarity with FMEA methodologies, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
