As a Test Architect at Atlas Copco Group, your mission is to enhance the quality and efficiency of our software testing processes. You will report to the Head of Digital Technology. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping our testing strategies and leading a dynamic team committed to innovation and excellence.
You will
Develop Strategic Test Plans: Design comprehensive and scalable test strategies tailored to project-specific requirements and business goals.
Tool & Technology Evaluation: Continuously assess and recommend tools and technologies aligned with the latest trends in automation and testing.
Framework Design & Advocacy: Build and promote automation frameworks that match the scale, complexity, and agility of the project.
Proof of Concepts (POC): Lead POCs to assess new tools, technologies, or innovative ideas that enhance testing efficiency and automation effectiveness.
Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor team members, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to integrate scalable cloud-based testing solutions.
Test Architecture Ownership: Drive the design, implementation, and optimization of robust test architectures.
Automation Strategy Development: Create and execute adoption plans for test automation across the organization.
Architecture Review & Governance: Regularly review test architecture and update best practices and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a trusted SME, guiding teams in solving complex problems and ensuring delivery excellence.
Problem Solving & Decision Making: Provide actionable solutions across multiple teams and projects, driving resolution of technical challenges.
Stakeholder Communication: Deliver timely updates to internal and external stakeholders, addressing concerns proactively and ensuring transparency.

Total Experience: 12+ years of experience in software testing, including a minimum of 3 years in a Test Architect or similar leadership role.
Automation Framework Design: Proven experience designing and implementing scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and database layers.
Technology & Tools:
Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
Cloud & Containerization: Experience with Azure, AWS, and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
DevOps Integration: Understanding and implementation experience of CI/CD pipelines with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
Manual Testing: Hands-on experience with manual testing of UI, API, and databases, especially during early lifecycle stages.
Agile Practices: Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based teams using tools like Jira or Azure Boards.
Testing Best Practices: Deep understanding of QA processes, shift-left practices, risk-based testing, and test pyramid strategies.
Leadership & Communication: Experience in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
