Test Analyst

Role & responsibilities

responsible for ensuring the quality of software applications by designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases

• Test Planning and Design:

  Creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.

• Test Execution:

  Performing manual and automated testing of software applications, including system integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.

• Defect Management:

  Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues and ensure quality.

• Collaboration:

  Working closely with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Test Automation:

  Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

• Reporting and Communication:

  Communicating test results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Participating in process improvement initiatives and staying up-to-date with testing methodologies and tools.

Essential Skills:

• Strong foundation in software testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, RestAssured, or Playwright.
• Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
