As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at Lilly, you will play a crucial role as a field-based medical professional with in-depth knowledge about specific disease states, Lilly and competitor compounds, and current issues in the therapeutic areas you represent. Your interactions with scientific experts will provide valuable feedback and insights that shape Lilly's strategic direction for research. By facilitating scientific exchange between the industry and the scientific community, you will contribute to shaping the future of healthcare by offering essential information that addresses significant clinical and scientific questions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintaining and effectively communicating deep scientific knowledge: Continuous learning is essential for the MSL to uphold the highest level of technical expertise within the therapeutic area. This expertise will enable you to provide accurate and up-to-date medical and scientific knowledge to your customers, establishing yourself as a reliable and trusted resource. 2. Excelling at customer engagement and supporting medical/scientific information needs: Engaging in meaningful dialogues with scientific experts, the MSL acts as a primary interface between Lilly's medical and scientific experts. By providing deep disease state and product information, as well as connecting experts with appropriate resources, you contribute to delivering best-in-class customer experiences. 3. Strategic vision and leadership: The MSL synthesizes complex data and communicates meaningful clinical insights to Lilly's teams. Utilizing problem-solving skills, you will effectively execute solutions and make decisions independently or escalate when necessary. Collaboration across functions and active contribution to medical planning and strategy are key aspects of this role. 4. Territory ownership: Strategic analysis, planning, and prioritization are vital for maximizing efficiency in your territory. Implementing a strategic territory plan, prioritizing core activities, and taking personal accountability for results are essential responsibilities. Adhering to all internal and external requirements in a compliant manner is crucial. Qualifications & Experience Required: Qualifications: - Advanced degree in health sciences required - Previous MSL or field-based experience preferred - Significant experience in professional networking - Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, and medical research Desired Skills: - Ability to travel up to 80% of the time - Intellectual curiosity and learning agility - Self-directed with advanced presentation and computer skills - Effective strategic and critical thinking - Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English - Resilience in managing challenges and high emotional intelligence At Lilly, we are committed to inclusivity and equal opportunity.
