Job Description This is a unique opportunity to lead a key part of OCI&aposs Observability stack focused on Telemetry, Monitoring and Alarming systems, which are essential to ensuring the performance, availability, and trustworthiness of all Oracle Cloud services. Our platform combines Monitoring, Alarming, Logging, Events, Auditing, and SIEM capabilities to give customers and internal teams a unified, actionable view into their infrastructure and applications. This role specifically focuses on the Monitoring and Alarming platform , which provides the foundation for real-time metric ingestion, scalable alerting, incident detection, and proactive canary-based health verification of services. We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead an exceptionally talented team of software engineers in advancing this critical part of OCIs platform. You will drive innovation and scale to ensure our Telemetry systems remain among the most reliable, performant, and intelligent in the modern cloud landscape. Responsibilities Own the design, development, and operation of a high-scale, distributed telemetry platform that processes billions of datapoints and petabytes of time-series data across OCI regions. Ensure the reliability, availability, and operational excellence of services responsible for Monitoring, Alarming, and Canary-based health checks, supporting mission-critical infrastructure. Provide technical leadership, direction, and strategic vision for a team of senior and principal engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Define and execute a clear, prioritized roadmap of features, platform investments, and operational improvements delivering on commitments on time and with high quality. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, other OCI service teams, and Oracle-wide stakeholders to align goals, manage dependencies, and drive integrated solutions. Drive and mature engineering processes, including design reviews, operational readiness reviews, quality standards, and incident postmortems. Represent the team in executive-level updates and strategic planning discussions, articulating technical direction, risks, and delivery status. Proactively monitor the health and performance of services in the global OCI fleet, identifying trends, mitigating risks, and ensuring fault-tolerant, scalable telemetry infrastructure. You are a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with a proven track record in Java (backend), Flutter (mobile/web), and advanced AWS Cloud services. Your expertise includes hands-on experience with telemetry monitoring, EC2, Load Balancer, and Elasticsearch, and you have previously worked in the stock broking or finance domain. Your key responsibilities will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable financial/trading applications using Java for backend and Flutter for frontend/mobile. You will architect and deploy solutions on AWS, including EC2, Elastic Load Balancer, and VPC, with automated scaling and high availability. You will implement and maintain telemetry monitoring solutions to ensure real-time visibility and incident response. Additionally, you will design and optimize data pipelines for market data ingestion, order management, and trade lifecycle, integrating with external APIs securely and efficiently. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver high-performance financial systems while enforcing best coding practices, CI/CD, and unit/integration testing for high-quality releases. You must ensure robust security practices for financial transactions and customer data. For this role, you are required to have 6+ years of full stack development experience in the finance or stock broking industry. Strong expertise in Java and advanced Flutter development skills are necessary. Deep hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, Elastic Load Balancer, and Elasticsearch is crucial. You should also be proficient in telemetry monitoring tools, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and database technologies. A solid understanding of financial protocols, compliance, and security standards is expected, along with proven experience in high-throughput, low-latency applications. Preferred qualifications include exposure to event-driven architecture tools like Kafka/RabbitMQ, knowledge of microservices, serverless architecture, and API Gateway on AWS. Experience with market data vendors, building real-time dashboards and analytics, and AWS certifications are considered advantageous. This is a full-time position that requires in-person work, Monday to Friday. Immediate joiners with 6 years of experience in Flutter and the Fintech industry are preferred for this role.,
