Telecom Fiber Design Engineer

Role Overview: As a Telecom Fiber Design Engineer, you will be part of an entry-level engineering role that focuses on planning, designing, and documenting modern fiber optic networks. This position is designed to provide freshers with hands-on experience in the telecom industry. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, contributing to real-time infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: - Provide network design support by assisting in the design of fiber optic networks such as FTTx, OSP, and ISP infrastructure. - Support GIS data analysis to determine optimal fiber routes, identify obstacles, and evaluate existing infrastructure. - Assist in creating detailed drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using tools like AutoCAD, Visio, and GIS software. - Participate in site surveys to gather data, assess feasibility, and validate design requirements for installations. - Help in estimating materials and equipment needed for network deployment. - Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and field teams to understand and meet design requirements. - Learn and adhere to industry standards and regulations related to fiber optic network design. - Support basic troubleshooting and diagnostics related to fiber networks. - Engage in continuous learning of new tools, technologies, and industry practices. - Maintain accurate project documentation and system records. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. - Basic Technical Knowledge: Understanding of fiber optic principles, basic telecom/networking concepts, and general engineering design concepts. - Software Skills: Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD tools, exposure to GIS mapping tools, and familiarity with MS Office Suite. - Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, eagerness to learn, attention to detail, collaborative work approach, and organizational skills. Additional Details: The company offers an entry-level package ranging from 3 to 3.5 LPA for final-year engineering students and recent graduates. You will undergo an initial screening, an online aptitude test with a minimum qualifying score of 80%, and a final interview consisting of technical and HR interactions based on test performance. It is preferred but not mandatory to have relevant certifications or internship experience in telecom or network design.
